PICO Kids Ambassadors is our flagship program for youth learning exchanges focused on the nexus of innovation, problem solving and building global bridges.

We work in collaboration with leading international schools and partners from around the world, while each cohort is matched with a local school, enabling an immersive student exchange throughout the time spent together on the delegation. Delegations are comprised of 15-20 participants, boys and girls, between 9th and 10th grade, from diverse backgrounds and schools, representing the cultural and diverse richness Jerusalem encompasses.

The PICO Kids Ambassadors program culminates in a 7-day exchange program guided by PICO Kids methodology focused on design thinking and leadership development; public speaking skills and diplomacy; innovation and teamwork; as well as the meaningful cultural and learning exchange between participants. It is a unique and life-changing experience for students that creates an educational platform for youth from both cultures to engage in a journey towards impact and global friendships.

The students’ time together is focused on creating an immersive learning experience aiming to solve a challenge selected in advance, based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and building upon our core values: opening hearts, minds and hands to maximize empathy, creativity, and problem solving. This work culminates in a ‘Makeathon’, during which participants co-create, design, build and showcase their prototype, and then present to peers, teachers and special guests during the final day together.
