We learned that the moon has 14 days of light and 14 days of darkness. In order to generate energy from light during the days of darkness, we built solar panels which can be launched into space during 14 days when there is light from the sun.

The solar panels then attract energy form the sun, which can be used during the cycle of darkness.

The solar panels fold into a compact size to enable an easy launch, and then unfold while in space.
