Mobile solar panels: Mission to the Moon Makeathon
- Mission to the Moon
- 5-6 Grade
Our project focused on energy. we studied the cycles of the moon and discovered that the sun shines light on half of the moon at different times throughout the day. Therefore we invented a vehicle of mobile solar panels on wheels, which are attracted to the illuminated parts of the moon, where they absorb the sun’s energy, producing power from it. The energy generated from the sun will be used to propel the solar panel motor, as the additional energy will be stored in docking stations which will be scattered across the moon – where solar panels will then dissipate the energy.
